Mr. Smith practices in the area of general litigation. Mr. Smith has represented clients in premises liability, products liability, insurance malpractice, transportation, and employment litigation in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels. Mr. Smith has successfully defended and prosecuted actions on behalf of commercial and residential property ownership groups and management companies.

Mr. Smith was selected as a "Texas Rising Star" by Texas Monthly and Law & Politics in 2007.

Mr. Smith was born in Mt. Kisco, New York in January 12, 1973. He received his B.A., magna cum laude, in 1995 from Austin College, and his J.D. in 1998 from the University of Texas at Austin. He was a recipient of the Dean's Award for Highest Achievement in Insurance Law in 1998 and was a member of Teaching Quizmasters 1997-1998, and The Review of Litigation, 1996-1998. Mr. Smith was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1998, the United States District Court, Northern District of Texas and the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. He is a member of the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers and the Dallas Bar Association. Additionally, Mr. Smith is an approved counsel for the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas.
