Mr. McDougal's practice is focused on issues of labor and employment law, transportation law and benefits litigation. He represents parties in state and federal court litigation and in arbitrations. He has represented parties in administrative proceedings before the United States Department of Labor, the Texas Commission on Human Rights, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Texas Workforce Commission and other agencies, and currently serves as managing partner for Crouch & Ramey, L.L.P.
In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. McDougal has given numerous presentations and conducted training programs for clients, and provided counseling and litigation defense on all areas of employment law including issues concerning Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the American's With Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, discrimination and sexual harassment, covenants not-to-compete, employment contracts, employee benefits under ERISA, compensation under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and nonsubscriber litigation. He also regularly advises employers on compliance and risk management issues relating to labor and employment law. In addition, Mr. McDougal has an active general litigation docket, including commercial and personal injury claims.
Mr. McDougal was selected as a "Texas Super Lawyer" by Texas Monthly and Law & Politics in 2007, 2008 and in 2009. Mr. McDougal is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell.

Mr. McDougal was born in Irving, Texas on August 17, 1965. In 1987, he received his B.B.A. in finance from the University of Texas at Austin. He received his J.D. in 1990 from Southern Methodist University where he served as an editor for the Southwestern Law Journal from 1988 to 1990. He clerked for the Honorable Paul N. Brown, U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Texas, from 1990 to 1991. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1990, and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court in the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, as well as the United States Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. He is a member of the Dallas and American Bar Associations, the State Bar of Texas, and the Bar Association of the 5th Federal Circuit.
