Mr. Ramey specializes in commercial and complex business litigation, trust litigation, antitrust law, real estate litigation and appellate litigation. He represents a wide variety of clients in federal and state court litigation matters, and counsels such clients in all aspects of formal and informal dispute resolution and contract negotiation, including banks, telecommunications companies, pharmaceutical companies, distributors, franchisors and funeral homes, to name a few. He has given numerous speeches and training classes on various aspects of antitrust laws and competitive issues, and has also testified before the Texas State Senate and House of Representatives and other legislative commissions on various business and consumer issues.
Mr. Ramey was selected as a "Texas Super Lawyer" by Texas Monthly and Law & Politics in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, and as one of the "Best Lawyers Under 40 In Dallas" by D Magazine. Mr. Ramey is AV rated by Martindale Hubbell.
Mr. Ramey was born in Yukon, Oklahoma on March 23, 1965. He received his B.B.A. in 1987 from the University of Texas at Austin, majoring in accounting, and his J.D. with highest honors in 1990 from the University of Oklahoma, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif and taught legal writing. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1990, and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States District Court for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit.
